Wednesday 2nd July 2008

Down another 1lb!! I didn't quite make my goal of 14lbs before my holidays, 2lbs short!! I am still really happy with what I have managed to loose so far. I am just hoping that I don't put to much of this back on while on holiday. I am going to try and swim a little every day and I know we will be walking quite a bit.

When I get back from my holidays, I will have 2 weeks before I will be heading to the States for 5 weeks!!

Wednesday 25th June 08

It's been a few weeks since I posted a blogg, but I am still on track. I am now down to 147lbs, only another 14lbs to get to the target weight I have set myself.

I am now up to 5 gym sessions a week.

Monday - Spinning and Abs (1 hour session)

Tuesday- Spinning (1 hour session)

Thurday - Spinning (1 hour session)

Saturday - Badminton (1 hour session every second week)

Sunday - Boxercise and then Spinning and Abs (2 hour session)

8 days tomorrow until my holiday!!!

Tuesday 3rd June 08


Down 2lbs today!!!! That's 9lbs so far..............................just another 16lbs to go.


Booked a holiday last week to Lazarote, we leave on the 7th July so that means I have 4 weeks on Thursday until we go. I am going to try and loose at least another 5lbs before then.


This week was the first week that i have eaten all my WW points including my Activity points. Since last Tuesday I went to Circuits on Wednesday morning, Spinning Thursday morning, Badminton Saturday afternoon, Boxercise Sunday morning and Spinning again on Monday morning. I am going to try and keep up at least 4 classes a week. I feel so much fitter now, it's great!!!

Thurdays 22.5.08


Only down 1/2lbs this week, but I feel so much fitter with going to the gym.

Went to "Wake up Spin" this morning, it was 45 minutes of intense spinning, but it's said to burn between 300-400 calories.

Day off from the Gym tomorrow, but if it's nice at lunch time, then a couple of girls and me are going to walk to Asda at lunch time and back....................

Saturday is going to be a day of rest, then Boxercise again on Sunday morning.

I have been doing pretty good this week with my points, I have been trying to eat all my daily point and saving my activity points, hopefully that will help at the next weight in....
Hopefully we will be booking a holiday at the weekend for next month, I am looking forward to fitting into all my holiday clothes again....

15.5.08


It's been a couple of months since I last posted a blog. My Weight loss has been a bit up and down over the last 4 weeks or so............................................

I am still going to weight watchers weekly class to find out my weight loss, but I have been concentrating on getting fit more.

Been trying to go to the gym or to a class at least 3 or 4 times a week. Boxercise on a Wednesday and Sunday morning, Body Blast on a Monday lunchtime and the gym one other day of the week. I feel so much better for it.
The weather here in Aberdeen has been a lot better of late so hopefully I will get out on my bike to cycle more now.

Still got 18lbs to loose…………………

Was out last night with 3 girls from work for a few drinks. Had a really good night, but was pretty hungover today.

Going out tonight for a few drinks with 3 of the girls from work, managed to save 5.5 points from yesterday.

So far that's 17 points, so I have 3 left for today, added to yesterdays 5.5 = 8.5points for drinks today, WHICH I know will not be enough, but I am going to try and count how many drinks I have tonight, so I reduce my points for the next few days to make up the extra I have tonight!! Well, that's the plan anyway.

Re-joined Weight Watchers last night.....................................................and so far it's going well. I bought a journal to write down what i eat everyday, so i have no excuse.

Well, my dieting hasn't been good since I last update my blog!, I put on 1lb this week. I think I have been very lucky that is all I have put on as I haven't been watching or writing down what I have been eating.
Too many sweets and way too much Drinks!!
Had my works Dinner and Dance last Friday, I couldn't even begin to tell you how many drinks I had that night!! But it was a really good nice and my dress didn't look that bad on! (photo attached)
I have decided that I need some help with loosing the rest of lbs I want to shift, so tonight I am going along to a Weight Watchers class near my house. I need some help to get back on track.
Next week, I am going to Stavanger to work for a week, but that's shouldn't be a problem. I just need to work out how many points everything is before I eat them and then write it down. Also planning to try and do a least an hour of walking in the evenings.

16/2/08 - 18/2/08


Stepped on the scales this morning...............................151!! That's 7lbs down so far. Now I just need to keep going and loose the other 16lbs. I have got my work dinner dance on the 29th of this month, so I would like to loose another couple of lbs before that, might make my dress look better on me!

I looked after my niece, who's six weeks old at the week. Bruce, Ellie and I took Charlii out for a long walk down by the river for more than an hour. (my first real bit of exercise, in a long time!!)

Pretty much stayed within my points allowance over the weekend.

Well this week hasn't been very good..............................................I ate too much at lunch times and have not done any exercise this week.

Stepped on the scales this morning excepting to see that I had gone up, but I hadn't. Scale read 151.! Must be my lucky week!!!

Yesterday was valentines day and Bruce make me a lovely dinner

Starter - Chilli Tuna and King Prawns on a bed of lettuce with lemon and olive oil dressing

Main - Prime Lamb Chops with creamed potatoes and asparagus heads

Sweet - Chocolate Tart with Strawberries

This weekend I am watching my 6 week old niece Charlii again. :-)

I am going to try and start writing my blogg again daily, as you forget what you have eaten otherwise. This week has just been really hectic at work, so I haven't had the time to spare.

8/2/08 - 11/2/08


I haven't updated my blogg for a few days. This weekend was really hectic.

Friday, through the day I was really good, but after work on Friday we all went to the pub. I have quite a few drinks and.........................................I had a chipper supper on the way home!! NOT GOOD!!

Saturday, I meet up with 6 of my US colleagues; I showed them some of the sights in Aberdeen City centre. We all went to the pub for lunch!! Saturday night, we all headed to Stonehave Town hall for a ceilidh. There was lots of dancing, but there were also lots of drinks. After the ceilidh we all went back to my house for some more drinks!!

Sunday, Met up with 4 of my US colleagues, we drove out to Crathes Castle and had a guided tour. We then went to the pub for lunch!!

So, as you can see there was lots of drinking and eating this weekend.

Monday, Well.............................................I stepped on the scales and 152.5, I was very surprises, I had thought I might have put back on some of the weight I lost last week.

This week isn't going to be easy for me either, we have got lunch organized all week, and it’s being delivered to work. So I am just going to try and do the best I can.

This week has been going really well, I still haven't done any real exercise, been so busy at work, I just haven't had the time to go to the gym or go out walking, but I am going to make a real effort at the weekend to at least go out for a walk on Sunday.

Well, this morning after showering I stepped on the scales............................................152.5!!!!

5.5lbs down since last Monday, I can hardly believe it. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy and excited!!

Day 3


I didn't get up until 10.30am today, showered and dressed and then headed into town without having any breakfast.

For lunch I only had two bites of a low cal prawn sandwiche because it wasn't very nice.

Tonight I was babysitting for my 7 year old niece and my 4 week old great niece. For supper Shannon and I had homemade chicken fillets, which Shannon had chips with her's and I had bean sprouts.

Later in the evening e played the Wii and then made a T-Rex sculpture. Later in the evening I had 25 small alphabet letter sweets, which calculated to be 170 calories.
I didn't eat very much today.

Day 1

I asked myself today, when was I last happy with how I looked and If I am honest, probably when I was about 16 years old.............................so that means that I have been unhappy for more than half of my life.

Every holiday that I have ever been on, I have wished that I was slimmer, that my stomach was flatter, that my thighs weren't so big and every year I return from my holiday and say the same thing “Next year will be different, I am going to loose weight before my next holiday", but I never do.

BUT guess what........... that year has finally come. Today I start on that journey, a journey that will hopefully end with me being happy once again when I look in the mirror.
Not only do I want to look good for myself, but I want to look good for my partner, Bruce. I know he loves me the way I am, but I think if I loved myself a bit more then I would be a nicer person to be around.
My aim is to loose around 25lbs, using the Weight Watchers point system.

I need to be more organized, I need to start planning my meals in advance.............. But today was just the start, I plan to work at this and try to do more exercise each week, maybe start going to the gym again and not just paying for it, like i have been doing the last 5 month with out a single visit!
